Preparing Your Property for Sale: A Simple Checklist

Buyers decide in the first few minutes. A few practical steps help your property make the right first impression.

A bright living room with floor-to-ceiling windows

You do not need a renovation to sell well. You need a property that is easy to understand, easy to visit and easy to say yes to.

Before photographs

  • Clear surfaces and remove extra furniture so rooms read larger.
  • Fix small things: leaking taps, loose handles, blown bulbs.
  • Open every curtain — daylight is the best finish you have.

Paperwork ready

  • Keep ownership papers, approved plans and recent tax and utility bills together.
  • Note anything a buyer will ask about: society charges, parking, pending works.

Price with evidence

Ask for a pricing view based on comparable properties and current demand, not on the highest number you have heard. A realistic price attracts serious buyers early.
